How I Work as a Therapist

Integrative Relational Developmental Counselling / Psychotherapy

My approach is rooted in a relational and developmental understanding of human experience. I believe therapy is a space where meaningful change can emerge through a safe and authentic relationship.

I work integratively, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models to respond flexibly to your unique needs.

In practice, I am interested in how you have come to experience yourself, what you learned to expect from relationships and the ways you have adapted to get through difficult or confusing experiences. Some of those adaptations remain valuable. Others can begin to feel restrictive long after the circumstances that shaped them have changed.

We can pay attention to what you think and feel, what happens in your body, what you find yourself doing in relationships and what becomes noticeable between us. I do not expect you to arrive already knowing how everything fits together. Understanding can develop through the work itself.

The relationship we build is an important part of therapy and I aim to offer a grounded space in which we can be curious about what is happening without forcing the work into a fixed method or timetable.
